Overview
Looking for an energetic team player to work on the In-Patient Behavioral Health Unit. This position involves covering 3 evenings per week (12pm-8:30pm), every fourth weekend 8am-4:30pm (Saturday and Sunday), with additional shifts as needed. The primary tasks include assessments, leading groups, writing daily group notes, participating in team rounds, and being an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
Provides therapeutic, recreational and leisure services to patients/clients, including development of individual treatment plans. Provides consultation to physicians and others regarding appropriateness of referral to recreational therapy. Documents patient/ client programs and progress, educates the patient/ client and others regarding recreational therapy programs. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient/ client care, education and department operations. Acts as a resource or mentor and provides functional guidance to the team. Coordinates staff/patient scheduling, orientation and training. Ensures proper clinical documentation and monitors workload to ensure staff utilization.
