Job Description

Overview

Data Scientist

The Data Scientist will have the ability to use statistics and programming to analyze and interpret complex and large data sets. This position will involve querying, cleaning and organizing data in order to apply various statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights and patterns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Solves business problems through making testable predictions from data. 
  • Consulting with stakeholders to identify business problems.
  • Curating any data necessary.
  • Creating machine learning models and programmatically updating models and predictions. 
  • Creating interactive visualizations to communicate model performance and business impact.
  • Meeting the needs of end-users.
  • Soliciting feedback for continual improvement.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, and/or R
  • Statistical and analytical skills to draw meaningful insights and patterns from large and complex datasights.
  • Experience with data cleaning, preprocessing, and working with SQL.
  • Knowledge in industry and understanding new techniques and models such as generate AI.
  • Problem solving abilities by connecting the data to business problems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Masters Degree required.
  • 3 Years of experience required.
  • Strong demonstrated working knowledge of SQL and data modeling required.
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical methods and machine learning algorithms (e.g. resampling methods, ensemble models, forecasting models).
  • Demonstrated experience scripting with a general-purpose language (e.g. Python).
  • Demonstrated experience creating dashboards (e.g. Tableau).
  • Demonstrated experience using cloud services (e.g. Azure).
