Job Description

Overview

*No weekends, Monday-Friday day shift

Exciting opportunity to join our growing pharmacy team. Incumbent will be integral part of implementation of centralized non-sterile compounding support located in brand new pharmacy location within IU Health Integrated Service Center located in Plainfield, IN. 

This position will serve as a liaison between non-sterile compounding services and our outpatient pharmacy and distribution teams.  Primary responsibilities will include data entry, evaluation/reconciliation of payer specific billing requirements for outpatient compounds, and facilitating resolution of identified issues with supported outpatient pharmacies. Team member will assist with the build of non-sterile formulas in our technology systems and routine upkeep as needed.  Additional responsibilities may include supporting non-sterile compounding operations as business needs require.  A highly qualified candidate will possess effective written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to problem solve. Outpatient pharmacy expertise with non-sterile compounds is preferred.

 2+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires working knowledge and skills as a pharmacy technician in assigned areas and ability to work within established procedures under moderate supervision.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires effective customer service skills.
• Requires intermediate proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications. High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
