New Graduates
New registered nurse (RN) graduates benefit from a comprehensive, personalized support system. All RNs in their first nursing role are invited to participate in a Nurse Residency Program alongside nursing orientation. The program provides socialization and support, enhances clinical judgment, and promotes professional development.
Medical Progressive Oncology & Stroke (MPO4) is a 31-bed acuity adaptable medical and progressive level of care unit. Nurses are trained to care for medical patients with the plan to train as a progressive level of care nurse by the end of the first year on the unit., MPO4 nurses primarily care for stroke, oncology, inpatient hospice, CHF exacerbations, COPD exacerbations, diabetic management including DKA, and Sepsis. Progressive level of care patients that we see include post-cardiac cath, continuous bipap, and patients receiving Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, or Lasix drips.
