Job Description

Overview

ognitive Testing : Developing and maintaining good patient rapport to ensure quality of clinical care, including ability to manage challenging behavior in an appropriate fashion while encouraging test completion. Neuropsychological test administration/scoring according to standardized clinical procedures, requiring sustained focus and concentration and a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency. Assist with maintaining clinic supplies and clinical data management. May be involved with quality assurance and training of other technicians and learners within the clinic setting.

Department Accountabilities : Update and maintain neuropsychological database. Monitor availability of needed testing materials. Maintain patient files and assist with clinic-related administrative tasks, including corresponding with patients, assembling patient files, sending patient records, preparing prior-authorization documents,

Training and Development : Remains current on departmental and organizational issues by regularly attending center/department staff meetings. Attends/completes all mandatory and recommended in-services and training programs. Participates in and completes the required hospital and department annual programs. Understands/applies/supports departmental and relevant organizational-wide policies and procedures.

Service Excellence: Accountable to demonstrate and foster the Indiana University Health Service Excellence Service Commitments. Meets expectations of preeminent service, including behavior that models Service Excellence--Every Encounter, Every Time, No Exceptions, No Excuses. Consistently demonstrates the four Service Commitments of Indiana University Health (Communication, Quality, Professionalism, and Environment). Requirements:

 Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field is required.

• Bachelor's in unrelated field with two years of patient related/clinical research experience.

• 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Requires basic computer and data management skills.
