Job Description

Overview

SWO day shift working every Saturday and Sunday 6:30pm

 

Do you enjoy a fast paced, challenging professional career with amazing work/life balance? We have an exciting opportunity for an RN, for the Acute Rehab Unit! This RN will have a specialty position within the team that will share the things that matter most with our patients. This person will inspire by doing exciting and meaningful work for the good of our patients.

As an Acute Rehab Unit RN, you will:

  • Coordinate inpatient admissions and discharges for the unit
  • Perform physical assessments on patients and direct patient care, to include: transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, wound/ostomy care, etc
  • Review/Take orders for your patient assignment and administer medications via multiple routes
  • Document care in electronic medical record-Cerner
  • Plan and coordinate care for patients by collaboratively with the team and serve as an advocate and educator for other staff, patients and family members
  • Manage and multi-task in a complex and fast paced team-oriented work environment while working efficiently and with attention to detail.

Skills/Experience/Education

  • Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Preferred knowledge of various software (Microsoft Office, Cerner preferred, Diagnotes, Teams etc.).
  • Strong clinical background in acute care/rehab care.
  • Ability to audit patient charts.
  • Must be a strong and confident verbal and written communicator across multiple disciplines.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
