Job Description

Overview

Position Summary 

The daily tasks include preparing hand crafted coffee and other beverages based on the customer’s specific orders. This includes being adept at utilizing the espresso machine during the shift. The barista also serves tea beverages that are included in the menu. The barista also prepares the sandwiches, snacks, and pastries. This role may also prepare, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of happiness for a diverse customer base. You will have the opportunity to improve the lives and experiences of patients, family members, physicians, other employees, and the public! The incumbent is responsible for quick, accurate, and courteous service, and resolution of customer concerns. Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety. Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.
  • No experience required.
  • Requires knowledge of basic food safety; infection control and sanitation. Serve Safe training may be required, depending on location. ISDOH certification of Food handler under Title 410 IAC 7-22 may be required at some locations.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of the CBORD system relative to job responsibilities preferred.
  • Requires ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Also, requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling.
