We are looking to fill a Full Time Unit Secretary position with our Emergency Department at Bloomington Hospital. Candidates will be required to work, 7:00 am - 7:30pm. You must be able to work the full 12-hour shift and work week days as well as every third weekend and the holiday rotation.
The Unit Secretary ensures accurate and complete information is received from patient to facilitate coordination and communication between physician, unit staff, and ancillary departments. They schedule daily tests and procedures, maintains comprehensive up-to-date record of all patient tests and procedures, and signs patients in and out of unit. They provide receptionist functions for the unit and alerts unit management to issues or needs within the unit regarding policies, procedures, or practices. They perform all clerical duties associated with supporting the Patient Care Unit.
