Our wound/Enterostomal therapy is an 18-bed clinic that consists of 2 hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers. The clinical wound nurse provides skilled assessments and evidenced based care for a diverse group of patients with a variety of wound needs. We are a large, fast-paced, multidisciplinary wound clinic serving the Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Our patient population includes acute and chronic wounds stemming from pressure, injury, burns, arterial or venous insufficiency, diabetes, infection, and more. This role is 40 hours per week for outpatient days.

Nursing skills gained: 

  • Skilled wound assessment and treatment utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities such as NPWT and HBOT
  • Collaboration with a multiple disciplinary team of clinicians and providers

Qualifications 

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
