Job Description

Overview

IU Health Riley Children's Hospital is looking for a Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist for Solid Organ Transplant to join their team! This position exists to provide comprehensive, value based, medication-related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. The incumbent acts in collaboration with healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. This position will provide clinical pharmacy services across our Pediatric Solid Organ Transplant and Nephrology teams. The pharmacist will work closely with a nationally-recognized multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, evidence-based, cost-effective care. Opportunities exist for professional growth relative to clinical, research and educational interests. Requirements:

Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist. • Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and/or PGY2 Pediatrics or Solid Organ Transplant pharmacy residency

This position exists to provide comprehensive, value based, medication-related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. The incumbent acts in collaboration with healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Key job duties may consist of ensuring safety and effectiveness of the medication use process, processing and dispensing medications per order or prescription, medication therapy monitoring, regulatory compliance, maintaining oversight over pharmacist extenders, maintaining the security of medications, and protecting the confidentiality of patient information. Additionally, is competent at providing drug information support for medical staff, ensuring continuity of care, and identifying potential challenges in common situations.

• Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and/or PGY2 pharmacy residency may be required.
