This is a PRN Mammography Technologist position located at Morgan Hospital. The candidate will fill in for sick time, PTO, etc. (there's no set hours/days). 

Performs quality diagnostic and screening mammographic studies utilizing a knowledge of anatomic positions, equipment maneuverability, and technical factors to determine and produce the projection or position that demonstrates each patient's unique problem, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the patient's well-being throughout the examination. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). 
  • Requires certification in Mammography (M) through the ARRT within 12 months of hire. If performing breast ultrasound, must obtain credential through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(BR); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): RT(S)(BS), or RT(R)(M)(BS); within 18 months of hire.
  • Currently meets Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements, preferred.
  • Requires current license through Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Requires ability to learn breast ultrasound procedures, if applicable.
