Summary:Operates and maintains a cash register. Accepts and records money for sales. Maintains good customer relations while providing quick and accurate service. Maintains adequate merchandise on display for sale. May be required to count tills, make deposits, run monthly end reports or stock supplies as related to service area. This will be a floating work location serving our Methodist, Riley and University Gift Shops. Working hours are evening and weekends up to 24 hours weekly.
• Requires ability to carry stock items from storeroom to sales area.
• Requires good customer service skills.
• Requires ability to communicate clearly with customers.
• Requires bending; and the ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Requires ability to give directions and general information to visitors as requested.
• Requires ability to work flexible hours to meet staffing needs.
Riley Cheer Guild gift shops provide a valuable service to patients, visitors, and staff at IU Health Downtown Hospital including Riley, University, and Methodist Hospitals. All proceeds from the shops provide patient programming across the state of Indiana.
