Job Description

Overview

Our specialty pharmacy program is growing and looking for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team in an advanced role. This supervisor position is the first of its kind in the IU outpatient space and will be heavily involved in personnel management of the specialty pharmacy team members. Daily responsibilities include career development/ one on ones with current technician team members, hiring and training of new technician team members, and ongoing evaluations for compliance and productivity. This position will support all specialty disease states, the employee mail order business, and will also have a role in the outpatient/specialty intern program. Team members are office based, with the opportunity for partial remote work available. Schedule is Monday – Friday day shift, includes no weekend/evenings/holidays—we are based out of the IU Health Integrated Services Center located in Plainfield, IN. 


 Requires previous supervisory/leadership experience.
• Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires Pharmacy Technician experience; IV admixture experience preferred.
• Requires knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems and computer-assisted devices.
• Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires full proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications. High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License.
• Requires Pharmacy Technician National Certification.BLS
