Job Description

Overview

We are looking for quality minded individuals who have attention to detail and want to learn more about sterile compounding. Our demand is growing, and we need additional team members to support our Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and Batch Compounding sterile production. Our work occurs primarily during the day with shifts ranging from 8:00 to 4:30pm and 10:30 to 7p.m. This position requires working every 4th weekend once training is completed. This work is very hands on and includes the opportunity to learn many different skills. Centralized compounding is a unique closed-door pharmacy department that services all of IU Health’s facilities including both inpatient and outpatient settings. Previous sterile compounding experience is not required, we can provide all the training you need to become a sterile compounding expert! 

 2+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires working knowledge and skills as a pharmacy technician in assigned areas and ability to work within established procedures under moderate supervision.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires effective customer service skills.
• Requires intermediate proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications. High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
