Overview
Work Schedule 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday. (occasional weekend rotation)
Do you like to walk, stock and organize supply shelves, and know that your work has a direct impact on patient care? A Logistics Specialist I position may be the role for you! Facilitates requisitions, inventory management, receiving, and projects. Ensures orders are filled timely and accurately. Verifies product by description, item number, and quantity. Inspects products for damage, expiration, and proper packaging. Performs cycle counts and physical inventories in an accurate and efficient manner. Coordinates the availability and delivery of products, to include equipment, mail and/or linen. Provides excellent customer service. Ensures aisle/storeroom maintenance and cleanliness is constantly maintained. Effectively applies the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or Lawson to document all order filling and stocking activity. This position may require on-call rotation and weekend coverage. This position may require operating a company vehicle.
Very physical position which includes breaking down pallets of supplies daily, some of which can be heavy (IV solutions), and sorting these supplies by department, delivering to the respective departments, putting away the supplies, and rescanning the departments for needed supplies. Some of these supplies are in sterile Operating Room and Central Sterilization area. Receiving FedEx and UPS deliveries and distribution after receipt. Linen distribution throughout the building is also the sole responsibility of this position.
