Overview
IU Methodist's B8 and C8 units focus on Behavioral Health care. B8 is a true med/psych unit. This secured medical floor treats patients who present with primary medical diagnosis and secondary psych diagnosis. This unit provides the opportunity to work on both medical and psychiatric skills. C8 is a locked psychiatric ward that focuses on patients who present with primary psych diagnosis and secondary medical diagnosis. Although B8 and C8 are two separate units, they function as one unit. Nurses on these units are cross-trained and scheduled on both.

Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities
Requires an Associate's of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
