Opened in December 2021, IU Health Bloomington Hospital at the Regional Academic Health Center is a state-of-the-art facility. It provides leading-edge medicine and treatments to patients and families in the South Central Region. Our new facility offers an acuity adaptable model of care, designed to support a wide range of patient needs. This allows our nurses to handle varying levels of care professionally and safely.

This Surgical Services unit functions within Bloomington Hospital, where we have 13 operating rooms and one open heart room. Our Surgical Services team members perform a variety of services, including cardiovascular, gynecological, orthopedic, and laparoscopic procedures. Nurses new to the OR will be given the opportunity to learn to scrub, which is a great benefit for those that desire to expand their career within the OR. If you are willing to work hard, are self-motivated and desire to work in a positive atmosphere, this is the right team for you! We are looking for someone that is a team player, that can work for the betterment of the whole team in the OR.
There is a 30-minute response time for this role, and minimal on-call required.
