Are you interested in using your Respiratory Therapy license in a way that can have a positive impact on the lives of your patients, your community, and those you work with? Then joining our Cardiopulmonary Rehab department at Ball Memorial Hospital is the perfect opportunity!

We are in the market for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Ball Memorial Hospital Cardiopulmonary Rehab department who is driven to help patients reach their individual health goals after they have experienced an acute cardiac and/or pulmonary event. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in respiratory therapy. This position will be responsible for overseeing patient inpatient ambulation’s, home oxygen evaluations, and bedside education toward successful self-management.  Additionally, this role will contribute in our outpatient early pulmonary rehabilitation services.  In the outpatient arena, the RRT will drive real time assessment, medication counseling, home oxygen evals, overseeing exercise routines, and continued patient education throughout their care plan.

 Requires current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
• Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program.
• Requires that the N.B.R.C. (National Board for Respiratory Care) registry exam be passed within 13 months of hire date. The 13 month requirement for the RRT is void if hire date is one year past graduation date.
• Requires Healthcare Provider Certification. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Preferred ACLS; PALS; and/or NRP certification.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires the ability to deal with confidential patient information.
• Requires basic computer skills and ability to work with EMR.
