Job Description

Overview

Are you currently enrolled in Respiratory Therapy program and interested in gaining hands on experience in your chosen field of study? Then the Respiratory Therapy Assistant position at IU Health is the perfect one for you!

Our RTA positions give Respiratory students an opportunity to get hand-on experience in a clinical setting. These positions include starting and discontinuing therapies for patients, learning about patient record keeping, and learning how to properly utilize Respiratory Therapy equipment.

In addition to gaining clinical knowledge and experience, our RTAs are uniquely positioned to move into official Registered Respiratory Therapy roles at Indiana University Health. These team members get an outstanding opportunity to experience all the different ways Respiratory Therapists impact patient lives for the better.

Outside of working with state-of-the-art technology and equipment, IU Health provides several options when it comes to planning for the future. The IUH organization offers several different incentives for every member of staff. From opportunities to stay healthy and volunteer in the communities. Employees of IU also continue their education with certifications and licensure courses. Our benefited employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement if they wanted to go back to school!
