We have an outstanding opportunity available for a Cardiac Implant Electronic Device - Clinical Nurse Navigator to join our collaborative team in the Pediatric Cardiology department under IUHP @ Riley Hospital Indianapolis.

This role will be Monday-Friday working on our day shift.

The Cardiac Implant Electronic Device Navigator, provides patient education, care coordination, is a system navigator and a patient advocate with the mission to improve the cardiac experience for device patients at Riley Children’s Hospital.  Under the direction of the Riley Pediatric Cardiology Electrophysiology physicians, the Clinical Device Nurse Navigator partners with patients and their primary physicians to develop customized care plans based on their individual needs and preferences and collaborates with physicians, nurses, health professionals, social work, and others to ensure appropriate tests and treatments are delivered in a timely fashion while also balancing care needs and financial considerations to ensure efficient and effective treatments are achieved.

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Specialty certifications may be required per unit/department specialty in accordance with the department provision of care.
  • Requires knowledge of personal computers using various types of word processing and database software.
  • Requires clinical work experience, medical terminology.
  • Requires understanding of medical record requirements, regulations and policies.
