Job Description
Overview
Plans, develops, facilitates, implements, and evaluates education in the Respiratory Therapy Program. Assists in the development and implementation of student performance standards, student admissions and selection process, and program accreditation activities. Ensures that education in the program is properly coordinated, and that all students receive adequate instruction and experience. Assists in developing promotional materials for internal and/or external publicity.
• Requires current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Indiana.
• Requires knowledge of adult education principles and applications.
• Requires ability to develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum and training resources.
• Requires knowledge of computer software applications.
• Requires the ability to assess and diagnose learner needs.
• Requires 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, 2 years of clinical respiratory care, and 2 years of teaching experience as faculty or clinical preceptor in a Commission on Accreditation in Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited Respiratory Therapy Program or equivalent.

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Requires current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Indiana.
