We are looking to fill a Full Time Certified Medical Interpreter (Spanish) position for the Emergency Department at Riley Hospital for Children. This position will work , 3:00pm – 11:30pm or 11:00am - 7:30pm.
We are seeking a Certified Medical Interpreter in Spanish who has the required Bridging the Gap (BTG) certification or is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI).
The Interpreter provides support to Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients, families, and medical staff providing care. They administer care to designated patients and provides support to the care team under the direction of the clinical nurse. They serve as the liaison between clinical, medical staff and patients and/or families. They assure care of patients and families is reflective of IU Health's values.
