The RN in this role will be in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic and Infusion Center at Riley Children’s Hospital. Nursing skills gained on this unit:
· Critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
· Nursing skills such as Central Line access and maintenance care, PIVs, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood product, and medication administration
· Flexibility and Adaptability
Unit Successes/Designations:
· APHON chemotherapy/biotherapy certified nurses
· Team of highly dedicated nurses and medical assistants
Unit Culture Highlights:
· The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency
