Job Description

Overview

The Program Director – Planned Giving will lead the planned giving fundraising work with passion and commitment to enhance health and well-being while inspiring generosity across the state of Indiana. This role leads and develops a statewide sustainable fund development program that aligns with system priorities and includes complex principal and major gifts, identifying potential risks, improving overall processes and outcomes. The Program Director will implement strategic and scalable fundraising collateral, maintain accurate recording, reporting and management of all donor information. This role will partner with executive and senior leadership (including but not limited to system executives and Development and Operations executives) to uphold and achieve metrics. The Program Director will manage and support driving financial goals to target for the Foundation.

Key Relationships
Reports to: Director – Philanthropy, IU Health Foundation

Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor's Degree is required, Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Philanthropic experience required.
  • Working knowledge of fundraising software i.e. Raiser's Edge. 
  • Experience with matrix organizations and complex work environments.
  • Legal, financial planning or relevant business experience is preferred.
