Information Services Scrum Master

The role of the Data Acquisitions Team is to design, develop, and implement innovative modern data ingestion solutions at scale. Through knowledge and expertise in data architecture and development, we build and support the enterprise data pipelines that provide critical business data to the organization and support IU Health strategic goals. As a scrum master, you will be a servant leader and coach for an Agile team who facilitates team events and processes, and supports the team and agile release train in delivering value under the scaled agile framework. You will help educate the team in Scrum, Built-in-Quality, Kanban, and SAFe and ensure that the agreed Agile processes are followed. You will also help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and improvement. To be successful in this role, you will need strong leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guides the team and department on how to use scrum practices and values. 
  • Maintains backlogs, dashboards and sprints. 
  • Runs sprint standup, backlog grooming and planning meetings. 
  • Works closely with the business owners and projects managers to communicate project status, team capacity and blocking issues. 
  • Responsible for multiple simultaneous development streams.

STRONGLY PREFFERED:

  • 2 years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master Certification
  • Azure DevOps experience

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Must be a certified AGILE Scrum Master.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a software developer is a strong plus.
  • Requires robust, hands on experience using Azure Devops or other Agile project management tools for Agile and SCRUM project management.
  • Requires excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Must be adept at task refinement, story splitting, agile estimating, retrospections and other Scrum techniques.
  • Experience with PowerBI is a plus.
