Job Description
Overview
This is a full-time/day shift Interventional Radiology Technologist position located at Bloomington Hospital (7a-4:30p), 4 days/week, Monday-Friday. Weekend and evening on-call requirement, must live within 30 minutes of facility.

Assists provider with diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic interventional procedures while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with adult and geriatric patients. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment, and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.
- Basic Life Support certification required. May also require Advanced Life Support certification, if applicable.
- Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- May be required to obtain advanced credential in interventional radiography, if applicable.
- Requires current Indiana State Department of Health license as Radiologic Technologist.
- Requires knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during special exams.
- Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
- Experience as a radiologic technologist, preferred but not required.
