Position Details: 

  • Job Title: Volunteer Resources Coordinator

  • Location: Riley Children’s Hospital
  • Schedule:  Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, evenings and weekends as needed.

What You Will Be Doing: 

  •  Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the Volunteer Services program.
  • Provide administrative support to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of program actives and function.
  • Assist in training volunteers in new policies and procedures.
  • Maintain volunteer records and compliance reporting.
  • Provide daily guidance to assigned volunteers.
  • Maintain feedback process to enhance work processes and teammate understanding.

Customer Relations - Establishes and maintains respectful working relations with internal and external customers by being courteous and helpful in all interactions. Shows appreciation and respect for customers' needs, expectations and perspectives. Represents one's organization by demonstrating behaviors that reflect an attitude of customer service, responsiveness, and concern.

Oral Communications - Expresses thoughts, ideas and opinions clearly, fluently and concisely. Listens attentively to others and responds appropriately to questions and comments. Asks appropriate questions in order to obtain information and to determine the needs of others. Comprehends and follows instructions.

Collaboration - Coordinates job activities with team members and leaders as required. Finds workable solutions that can be leveraged by other team members. Seeks out and shares best practices for performing job duties.

Time Management - Organizes one's own work activities and uses time management techniques to meet deadlines. Adheres to time management policies, such as scheduled breaks, clocking in and out procedures, notification required for paid time off, etc.

Ethical Practice - Maintains confidentiality as appropriate, earns trust and respect of others, and exhibits behaviors that express the ethical practice of a healthcare organization. Keeps financial, person information, patient and volunteer data, etc. extremely confidential as required.

 

What You Will Need: 
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required, a college diploma preferred.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • A Strong proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience working with volunteers preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • A high level of interpersonal; problem solving; and analytical skills
  • The ability to facilitate and lead work groups.
