Overview
This Clinical Dietitian will support our Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis program which is the second largest in the nation. This is a part time opportunity (3 days a week) with a requirement of being in clinic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The third day is flexible as to the day of the week, with a remote option on that day. The hours of this position are 8am-4:30pm.
Prior pediatric dietetic experience required.
Provides optimal nutrition care at an advanced level primarily for outpatients with cystic fibrosis population and any related complications of the disease. This is to be achieved utilizing the Nutrition Care Process, in strong working collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary team, with consideration given to the expertise of each team member. Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates nutrition education individualized to the family and patient needs; precepts dietetic interns and other learners as appropriate; independently orders oral nutrition supplements, and provides enteral and parenteral nutrition support as approved by the medical staff at each facility. Demonstrates proficiency and advanced competency in one or more specialized areas. The person in this position will practice at an advanced level as evidenced by performing a minimum of at least one of the following services on an ongoing basis: development and implementation of nutrition care protocols; leadership in applied clinical research; other initiatives as determined or approved by their manager. The person in this position will also provide leadership in at least one significant contribution annually. This may include but is not limited to a multidisciplinary project, quality improvement initiative or authoring a publication; other initiatives as determined or approved by their manager.
