Are you looking for a pediatric RN position where you can make a positive impact on the lives of your patients while also building strong relationships with your colleagues and continuing to develop your nursing practice with the support of your colleagues? Come and join our new Riley VAT (Vascular Access Team)! The Vascular Access Team is intended to use knowledge regarding intended treatments or interventions and forecast vascular access needs of an individual patient.
The ideal candidate will have pediatric critical care experience, be competent in starting basic PIV's, venipuncture, and have proficient IV skills. SonoSite training is preferred. The incumbent should also have excellent time management skills, communication skills and coaching skills.
The VAT RN will support and attain vascular access on patients, coach, and mentor nurses on IV starts and peripheral sticks, and perform bedside care as needed. The VAT RN will be responsible for facilitating patient needs and assists with interdisciplinary provider & physician collaboration as well as collaboration with nursing, pharmacy, CNS, and provider team.
