As our new Clinical Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of our busy Senate Street Surgery Center located in the heart of Indianapolis, leading a team of approximately 37 direct reports and collaborating with 70 providers.

The Senate Street Surgery Center is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center located downtown on the Methodist Hospital campus.   A variety of specialty services are provided:  General Surgery, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Plastics, Podiatry, and Urology.  The surgery center has eight fully equipped, technologically advanced operating rooms.   The staff pride themselves on working as a close-knit team and helping patients to get back to their personal and physical well-being. We are looking for a candidate who wishes to lead a high functioning team and exhibits strong initiative, compassion, high integrity, and strong teamwork.  Our hours of operations are from 6 am to 6:30 pm.  We are closed on weekends and holidays.   

The clinical manager combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. They are accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards.

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
  • If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • OR experience strongly preferred
  • Leadership experience strongly preferred
