Job Description

Overview

Operates and performs preventative maintenance tasks on various building automation systems. Develops programs that will enhance building automation systems. Troubleshoots controls, field sensing devices, Direct Digital Control controllers and Field Processing Unit panels. Provides support in the field when assistance is needed. Trains colleagues on various skills and tasks. Acts as a resource or mentor to colleagues and provides general leadership to the team. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree in applicable discipline preferred.
• Requires ability to test operate, perform preventative maintenance, and repair a wide variety of fire protection systems that require knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems.
• Requires expertise in specialized areas such as electrical systems, plumbing systems, pressurization systems, and fire protection devices.
• Requires knowledge of project management of the installation and inspection of fire protection and security systems in large industrial settings.
• Requires advanced knowledge of energy management and pneumatic transport systems.
• Requires advanced knowledge of computerized building management systems software.
• Requires the ability to read and interpret information from complex blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Requires current knowledge of various federal; state; local; OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Requires experience in building automation and temperature control environments.
