Job Description

Directs and coordinates activities of lab professionals, technicians, and non-technical team members in pre- and post- diagnostic work and treatment of patients. Manages ongoing analysis, development and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. Charged with demonstrably improving performance across clinical quality and safety, patient and employee satisfaction, and operations/finances for all areas of responsibility.

Reports to: Executive Director- Lab, Adult Academic Health Center

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience. 
  • Requires 5+ years of management experience.
  • Process Improvement, Change Management, and Project Management experience preferred. 
  • Clinical or laboratory medical technologist certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
