Exciting opportunity to lead a health system-based retail pharmacy operation within our regional academic health center in Bloomington, Indiana.  The pharmacy is located in the IU Health Bloomington hospital.  In addition to overseeing daily operations and overall pharmacy performance, the Pharmacy Manager will work with pharmacy and hospital leadership to develop, implement, and enhance services to meet the unique needs of patients as well as patient care services provided within the facilities. Current facility supports services provided by the team include Meds in Hand (medication discharge program for inpatients), immunizations and clear bagging to IU Health clinics/infusion centers.  Additional ability to collaborate with peer pharmacy managers across the state through the IU Health Retail Pharmacy Network. If you are looking to grow in your career, driven by compassion and excellence, and feel a connection to this purposeful work, this might be an excellent fit for you!

Pharmacy hours:

M-F 8am- 7pm

Sat 9am-3pm

Sun 9am-1pm

Oversee's and coordinate the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and its staff. Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee. Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Will assists in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.

 Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist
• Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy.
• 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required
• Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics
• Management experience is preferred
