Overview

Riley is a leading pediatric healthcare facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and their families and advancing pediatric health through innovative treatments, compassionate care, and cutting-edge research.  

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Clinical Specialist to join our dynamic team in solid organ transplant. In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy, ensure safe and effective medication use, and provide clinical expertise in pediatric pharmacotherapy to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric pharmacy, and/or solid organ transplant and a passion for providing exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews, provide clinical recommendations, and document in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with interprofessional care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on medication management and safety
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric pharmacotherapy and contribute to ongoing education and training programs
  • Participate in code response

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, collaborative environment
  • PGY-2 Pediatric residency, or equivalent clinical practice experience
  • Board Certification in Pediatric Pharmacy (BCPPS) highly preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications highly preferred
  • Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
  • Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and/or PGY2 pharmacy residency may be required.
  • Competency of transplant pharmacotherapy required.
