Job Title: RN - House Supervisor

Location: Paoli Hospital

Department: Nursing Administration

Position Status: PRN

Position Overview:
The RN - House Supervisor is responsible for acting as the hospital's administrative representative to personnel, patients, visitors, and the community during off-shifts. This role is essential in maintaining collaborative relationships both interdepartmentally and intra-departmentally, facilitating effective communication, resolving problems, and promoting quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Serve as the hospital administration's representative during off-shifts, ensuring effective communication across departments.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with personnel, patients, visitors, and the community to promote a positive environment.
  • Facilitate problem resolution processes to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to quality patient care standards throughout the hospital.
  • Engage with staff and leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license required.
  • Must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required; other advanced life support certifications may be required based on unit/department specialty.
  • Completion of Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within one year upon meeting eligibility requirements.
  • 5-7 years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
