The CVI – Clinical Nurse Specialist, in collaboration with cardiovascular leaders, is responsible for leading and coordinating quality improvement efforts within cardiovascular care. The CVI – CNS collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams, leveraging data to drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.

A Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a Masters prepared Advance Practice Registered Nurse whose function is to improve outcomes in patient care. Functioning in five sub roles including: Expert in Clinical Practice, Educator, Leader, Researcher and Consultant, who positively influence the three spheres of practice: Patient Care, Nursing, and Systems in their respective specialties.
