Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations combines clinical expertise with contemporary leadership practices aligned with the IU Health Way to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes. You will work closely with the unit Manager to develop action plans focusing on quality and safety improvements, cost-effective care, and enhancing patient and team member experiences. You will lead the implementation of these plans and evaluate their effectiveness. As a key member of the interprofessional team, you will partner with the Manager to foster an environment that empowers the team to excel in both patient and organizational outcomes. This role also involves advancing nursing practice by advocating for and modeling evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards. Note that the unit operates 24/7, including weekends and holidays. 
Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift with the occasional need for rounding on night shift and weekends.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing. 
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required. 
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.   
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.   
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
