Beltway Surgery Center stands as a dynamic healthcare facility situated on the north side of Indianapolis, conveniently positioned near the intersection of 465 and 31 North. Our center boasts 8 state-of-the-art operating rooms spread across 2 floors, complemented by a dedicated procedure room designed for pain management and IVF procedures. As a comprehensive multispecialty center, we deliver a wide spectrum of services, including Orthopedics, Podiatry, GYN, GU, Oculoplastic, Plastics, ENT, Pain Management, and IVF. We prioritize patient care, leveraging advanced technology and expertise to ensure optimal outcomes for every individual we serve.

This position is a day shift role working either 5 8's (7:00am-3:30pm) or 4 10's (7:00am-5:30pm) Monday-Friday. On-call and holiday required. 

 

Surgical Resource Technologists service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assists in ensuring the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies and instrumentation in the operating room prior to each operation. Provides assistance to the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by professional and legal standards. Assists in the turnover of the operating room after the procedure ensuring proper routing and/or processing of all specimens, equipment, instrumentation and supplies. Works as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.

  • Requires a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Requires certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist obtained from the NBSTSA.
  • Requires Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Requires 17 continuing education units annually.
  • Requires successful completion of Perioperative Services Preceptor class and/or completion of 4 precepting eLMS modules and/or facility based preceptor training.
  • Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in the Skilled Technologist role or relevant experience.
  • Must be able to resource to other staff who are utilizing advanced technology in cases, including knowledge of the types of instruments utilized, what cases utilize different technologies, etc.
  • Requires knowledge of name and function of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Requires strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field.
  • Requires completion of application and recommendations as prescribed in Advancement Process.
