Overview

Job Title: Clinical Nurse-Quality Coordinator
Locations: Bedford Hospital and Paoli Hospital, Indiana
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift  
Position Overview:
The Quality Improvement Coordinator develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities for assigned patient populations. This role works independently and leads specific work groups to drive performance enhancements across the organization. The Coordinator performs ongoing analysis to identify gaps in clinical care and barriers to optimal outcomes, aligning interventions with the organization’s strategic goals.
The Coordinator facilitates the organization’s performance improvement process in collaboration with project team leaders and conducts training and education programs for staff and physicians. These programs focus on performance improvement methodologies, data analysis, data processing, work simplification, and other related subjects to foster a culture of continuous quality enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Lead CQI initiatives, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities.
  • Analyze clinical data to identify gaps and barriers in care delivery.
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions aligned with strategic organizational goals.
  • Facilitate performance improvement processes in collaboration with project teams.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff and physicians on performance improvement tools and techniques.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master’s degree in clinical healthcare or business preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Certified Public Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in quality improvement or related fields preferred.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred; other advanced life support certifications may be required per department policies.
Experience in report writing and graphical data display preferred.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
