Must be a Licensed and Registered Clinical Dietitian to be considered for this role.

Must be local to Indiana - hybrid role requires in office time consistently. 

Our Enteral Home Care Department is seeking out a Dietitian to fill a Team Lead role.   We are looking for someone who will consistently demonstrate a team focus, a calm and professional presence and approaches challenges with compassion, objectiveness, and a focus on process improvement.     This role does have a hybrid schedule (but will have some in office presence which may vary from week to week).   

Provides optimal nutrition care at an advanced level for inpatients and outpatients, utilizing the Nutrition Care Process, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The Nutrition Care Process includes nutritional assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention, and nutrition monitoring and evaluation. Incumbent also plans, organizes, implements and evaluates nutrition education individualized to the patient/client needs; precepts dietetics and other health professional students; independently orders diets, supplements and tube feedings as approved by Medical Staff Office at each facility. Serves in a lead capacity to other Clinical Dietitians. Assists department management in collecting data and in Performance Management team member reviews. Coordinates scheduling and daily needs of Clinical Dietitians, interns and students as needed. Attends IUH system Cerner Nutrition Council and Clinical Nutrition Manager meetings and communicates pertinent information to staff.

Analysis - Analyzes problems and opportunities as they arise. Takes into account all fact-based and stakeholder information available in order to evaluate alternatives and make sound recommendations. Asks appropriate follow up questions to determine the root cause of the problem.

Execution - Addresses problems directly and implements objectives effectively. Produces on time, high-quality work deliverables. Applies basic project management principles, and applies logical, consistent and organized standard of work practices.

 

This position will be working with team members who are both fully remote and hybrid**


 Bachelors degree or higher in dietetics or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Clinical Dietitian.
• Effective July 1, 2019 all newly Registered Dietitians or dietitians newly practicing in Indiana must have an active Indiana license.  All current Registered Dietitians must maintain Indiana certification until next renewal period.  Effective January 1, 2021 all dietitians must have an active Indiana license.
• Ability to develop medical care plans.
