Overview

This position is for a formal on-the-job education program (accredited through ABRET EEG Pathway II) beginning September 2025. The program will consist of approximately 24 weeks of on-site, didactic instruction and clinical rotations with other team members. It requires hands-on small group/paired workshops, independent computer coursework and classroom exams. The initial schedule is Monday-Thursday (9.5 hour) days and as training progresses this will adjust to include a variety of days, nights, and weekends. Upon program completion (Feb/March 2026), permanent schedules will be assigned according to departmental needs with anticipated openings being three 12.5hr night and/or weekend shifts.
Prepares and provides neurophysiological testing and monitoring in the clinical, Neurotelemetry/EMU and intraoperative settings according to departmental guidelines. Demonstrates proficiency in ICU, Epilepsy and seizure, neonatal and other complicated neurophysiological patterns. Works with little to no supervision when recording and monitoring patient data. Reports findings and triages patient care needs when necessary. Maintains high quality recordings and skilled in troubleshooting techniques. Facilitates and collaborates with the continued growth of less experienced team members, shares knowledge, and precepts peers.
