Overview

This is a full time evening shift with a requirement of every other weekend and every other holiday

 

This role prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of happiness for a diverse customer base.  You will have the opportunity to improve the lives and experiences of patients, family members, physicians, other employees and the public! The incumbent is responsible for quick, accurate, and courteous service, and resolution of customer concerns. Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety. Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment. This position consists of standing, physical work, must work with patients, deliver food trays/carts to ambassador/patients, cleaning, stocking, and working in dish room.

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.
  • No experience required.
  • Requires knowledge of basic food safety; infection control and sanitation. Serve Safe training may be required, depending on location. ISDOH certification of Food handler under Title 410 IAC 7-22 may be required at some locations.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of the CBORD system relative to job responsibilities preferred.
  • Requires ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Also, requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling.
