IU Health is currently seeking a compassionate and innovative leader, who is results-driven and inspired by meaningful work. The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Manager will provide oversight to ensure effective patient care in the state of Indiana at West Hospital located in Avon, IN. This manager will lead approximately 10 direct reports within the Department, Monday through Friday Day shift. They will assist in the vision and execution of the department’s strategic plan, including in the area of clinical education design, planning, implementation and evaluation for Nursing and Patient Care Services. Manages the ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. Accountable for assuming leadership in the area of clinical education design, planning, implementation and evaluation for Nursing and Patient Care Services. Responsible to partner through matrix report structure to assigned facility CNO to align and support strategic goals both facility and departmental. Provides leadership and guidance to the clinical educators.

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Masters in nursing preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires completion Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year upon meeting eligibility requirements.
  • Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
