Within IU Health Nursing our residency program, Transition to Practice, will guide you through your first year as a nurse within our organization.

Indiana University Health has exciting nursing opportunities in our East Central Region Emergency Services Unit. Our magnet-designated hospital specializes in multi-specialty patients.

Emergency Department: The ED is committed to delivering the best, high quality, compassionate care to pediatric, adult, OB-GYN, Mental Health and Trauma patients. In addition, we specialize in emergent, Level III Trauma and are Gold Stroke and STEMI Accredited. We ensure to focus on a teamwork approach to deliver excellent care to every patient; as the team consists over 170 members that work together and support each other's professional growth.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
