This will be an RN position that is trained on Behavioral Health but will primarily be working in the ED in the BH area. They could possible float up or pick up on BH if the needed. The RN in this role will be working collaboratively with ED RNs as well as BH team to facilitate the transition from ED to BH. There will be need for strong communication skills, ability to work both independently as well as within a team.
We utilize evidenced based practices to provide individualized and holistic care from an interdisciplinary team comprised of board-certified psychiatrists, social workers, recreational therapists in collaboration with a caring, compassionate team of nurses and patient care technicians.

Opening in the fall of 2021, Our IU Health Regional Academic Health Facility will be a state-of-the-art facility and will bring together multiple medical specialties and outpatient services into one convenient setting! It will also provide a unique and innovative environment in which IU and IU Health can partner to teach future generations of nurses. The new facility and model of care that will be implemented in it will allow nurses to practice at the top of their profession. That's good for the patient and good for our caregivers!
