We are looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our team! This is a multidisciplinary acute care setting, where collaboration is a must. This team has a wide variety of experience, education and skills. Information is freely shared; education and skill development is stressed. It is preferred for this individual to have independence or training in swallowing instrumental assessments (VFSS, FEES). Experience or education with trachs, vents, and speaking valves is also important. It is helpful to have previous experience in acute care. This individual evaluates, diagnoses and treats swallowing, speech, language, communication difficulties. Recommend d/c disposition to next level of care appropriately. After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing.
