Overview
Reporting directly to the Chief Auditor the Internal Audit Manager will oversee the daily operations of the process/financial aspects of IU Health’s independent Internal Audit function. This includes resource planning and including assisting the Chief Auditor with the annual risk assessment. Responsible for the supervision of assurance engagements and advisory/consulting services. Leads a team of professionals, providing training, technical oversight, and performance management against the department competency framework. Ensures the overall quality of audit fieldwork, including following the department’s methodology, professional standards, and adherence to policies and procedures. Works with co-sourcing with outside providers when needed. Coordinates with other IU Health compliance and governance functions to build trust, ensure transparency, and prevent duplication of effort. Collaborates with the external auditors where need to ensure proper audit coverage and maximize reliance on internal audit work, where appropriate. Communicates engagement status and results with process owners, senior management, etc. Leads by example by demonstrating impeccable ethics and integrity.
