Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Arnett Hospital!
Experience in inpatient acute care is preferred. It is also important to have interested in lymphedema wrapping. This individual should be a team player, patient-focused, flexible with hours at work, have good time management, and be able to work around other disciplines. Another part of this job is teaching weekly small classes (joint replacements, nursing training).
Physical therapist assistants provide direct patient care and selected physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist. PTA's assist in the clinical education of physical therapy students and clinical supervision of physical therapist assistant students as well as provide guidance and supervision for support personnel. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
This is a full time, day shift position. There are weekend and holiday rotations with this position.

- Requires graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant education program, or if foreign trained, graduation from an assistant physical therapist education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA. Requires certification as an Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Indiana. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
