Overview
Provides leadership for building preference for IU Health and/or Riley Hospital for Children among Emergency Medical Services providers. This position will work alongside appropriate IU Health and/or Riley Hospital for Children business unit leadership in developing new and/or enhancing existing strategies to grow the IU Health business through targeted external leaders and Medical Directors for Emergency Medical Services. Responsible for growing EMS transport volume and market share for IU Health and/or Riley. Serves to assess the educational needs of EMS providers and identify/develop the appropriate IU Health and/or Riley resources to address these needs. Works to resolve any issues involving transports to IU Health facilities as well as provide ongoing contact, communication and follow-up with EMS providers on patients transported to IU Health and/or Riley facilities. Paramedic and/or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license preferred.
