Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an RN with Transplant, Critical Care, or Liver experience!

The Clinical Transplant Coordinator role is responsible for assisting the patient in navigating through the Liver transplant process assisting with evaluating patients referred for transplant in an effort to get them on the transplant list. Our post-transplant coordinators assist with the care and medical management of patients who have received a transplant.

Transplant Services is the ambulatory arm of the transplant program at University Hospital. Our transplant program is nationally ranked in the US for volume of transplants performed.

 Requires experience that provides evidence of clinical competency and leadership skills.
• Requires clinical practice experience related to the program.
• Requires strong organizational; writing; interpersonal; and verbal communications skills.
• Requires critical thinking skills.
• Requires ability to work independently.
• Requires ability to track and perform multiple tasks.
• Requires ability to manage projects. Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) preferred. New ASN RNs hired after January 1, 2013 will be required to complete their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire into this job. Requires a current Nursing license from the state.
• Basic Life Support certification required. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
